I would like to express my philosophy. I may be conservative in many aspects, I however, understand that there are many variances in life.
I believe that I have been put here and given knowledge and resources to help my
fellow woman. I, also believe that with every woman I help; she in turn as
made me grow. I firmly believe in women and their power to live and birth naturally. I believe women have been programmed to believe that they just can't do this. I know there are exceptions but I don't believe that number is as high as the statistics are. In Mississippi, we have an extremely high Cesarean rate, when in reality if women were educated to take care of themselves in pregnancy and taught that they are capable of having babies, the Cesarean rate could be one-fourth what it is. The epidural rate is unreal and I believe that women can do better. I would never force someone to do things my way, but I do recommend that each of us take the time to explore our options. I believe that women are entitled to the best birth experience possible without the negative influences of doctors, nurses, midwives, spouses and any other family member or the attitudes of insurance companies and legislative bodies.
